An Growing Trend In Dads That Cook

By Jason Glover

Over recent times research has a found an increase in the number of dads that are staying at home. Changes within the home of many families has found that there is increase in the number of dads that cook. This increase my take some people by surprise by there is a lot dads who are enjoying the new way of life. The increasing number of stay at home dads has led to an increase in blogs such as my daddy cooks.

This change in cooking habits has also meant that the questions about what to cook for dinner is now being asked by the dads rather than the mums. There is still a lot of people who are looking for easy to cook ideas, however there has always been a demand for this. The amount of different recipes that are being tackled by dads has increased and this has helped to encourage other dads to cook too even if it is only one night a week.

There is a number of reasons why dads cook for their family in some cases it is because they want to and take turns of doing it. However in some cases it is because they have found themselves out of work and having to be a stay at home dad. It is fair to say that when a dad loses his job it is a very hard to come to terms with.

One of the benefits of being a full time dad is that you get to spend time with your children. A dad spending time with his children is probably one of the best jobs that they can do. In almost all cases at some point the dad will return to work however this is not always the case. Almost all dads enjoy being at home and spending time with their children.

There is an increasing amount of blogs that has been written around the theme of dads that cook. These blogs can be a good place to find interesting and fresh meals which are also beneficial for the health of their family.

These dads are getting more creative with their cooking and they are starting to incorporate all types of herbs, ingredients and spices. Whilst trying to cook tasty healthy meals they are also trying to keep everything within a budget.

If the children are only young they may be willing to eat almost anything that you want to feed them, however it is important to make sure that they are able to actually digest the food. In the case of older children they may be more fussy and this will mean that they are harder to cater for.

Another idea that might be very useful is to involve the children with the cooking. Most children will enjoy getting their hands dirty helping their parent to cook some food. When the children are involved in the cooking it can be easier to encourage them to eat their meal as they have assisted in the making of the food.
