How To Get A Healthy Skin Glow

By Alexandra Annweiler

Taking care of your skin is easy when you understand all the different aspects that can affect it. Beauty and health rely on good maintenance on the inside and the outside. You are sure to notice real improvements if you implement a real skin care plan.

Use treatments and products with alpha-hydroxy acids for glowing skin. Wine, milk and fruit, such as apples and citrus fruit, all contain alpha-hydroxy acids, or AHA's. These acids work to break down the protein bonds that cause dead skin to linger. By breaking these bonds the dead skin cells can be scrubbed away and healthy, glowing skin will be revealed.

To have smooth, clear skin, get some sun and spend a lot of time outdoors. Use a sunscreen, too, of course. Accomplish this by taking a daily lunchbreak in the park or just going for an afternoon walk. You need to get outside because the sun helps your body make vitamin D. This vitamin is essential for healthy, glowing skin.

Before improving your skin problems, you must identify what type of skin you have. If are not aware of the type of skin you have, you won't be able to choose the proper skin products. Before starting any skin care regimen, you must know your skin.

If you want healthier skin, warm up the moisturizer prior to using it. Warm moisturizer is more effective because the skin absorbs it better and quicker. You can warm it by placing a small amount in the microwave for a few short seconds. Alternately, put the moisturizer container in a bowl of warm water until the contents are warm, too.

If chapped lips are an issue for you, you can create a hydrating lip balm to help soothe them. If you want a natural remedy, try mixing honey, sour cream and cucumber and put it on your lips for about 15 minutes. Put some almond oil on your lips after you rinse them to seal in moisture.

Always wear sunscreen of at least 15 SPF when you get out, no matter how cool it is outside. Sunscreen can help battle peeling skin, wrinkles and, of course, sunburn. If you wear sunscreen regularly, you can actually slow the aging process down, and wrinkles and fine lines won't develop as quickly.

The first step to caring for your skin is being gentle. Avoid extremely hot water when bathing because this temperature can eliminate your skin's natural oils; therefore, you should bathe with mild water, and try to keep them as short as possible. When drying yourself off from a shower or bath, you shouldn't rub yourself vigorously. Be gentle and let your skin heal.

Use jasmine extract to moisturize your skin. When applied regularly, jasmime extract can give you radiant, beautiful skin. The lotion contains a lot of helpful antioxidants and is wonderfully soothing. However, it is more difficult to find jasmine extract than more traditional moisturizers. It is also a lot more expensive.

By taking the advice you have just read to heart, you will be in better position to achieve great care for your skin. Take care of your skin. It is another of the important systems that needs to function properly for you to be healthy, and it's the most visible one, too.
